The US alt-rock band The Tisburys released the three track single Crooked Roads on the 27th.
Centred around a trio – The Tisburys add other players as makes sense, enabling them to deliver music with a wide range of ideas, as is evidenced in the recent release – though always steeped in americana-rock.
The roughly fourteen minutes of Crooked Roads (available on bandcamp) offers the listener steel-based folk, via bluesy rock to rock’n’roll and my pick of the release is the opener and title track which grabs the listener by the arm as it launches in to the room – pulling them out on to the dance-floor
