The Danish indie-synth band The House are finalising details for the release of the LP – Friendly Fire.
The first track to surface from the album – the title Friendly Fire, which was also made available as a stand alone single on the 2nd finds The House delivering a song with greater spotlight on the synths than much of their music previously featured, which consequently has enabled them to generate a track of atmospheric layering in which the listener can explore the range of frequencies surfacing from the speakers in a song that has a vaguely Ultravox referenced feel.
The Danish indie-gaze band The House were introduced last year.
With a lighter track, Better Friend – the fourth of the ten on the LP Race To The Red Light, contains the signature undulating texture of earlier material, though is less gloomy in temperament. That does need to be taken in context as The House don’t create music that will have you dancing the macarena.
