The English alt-rock quartet The Courtesans are scheduling the release of the EP Better Safe Than Sober for the end of May.
The rough-cut demo version of Mesmerise, does exactly what it says in the name. Liquid smoke guitar flows around the ears as menacing bass and drums pressurise the track, over which, an intoxicating vocal ‘mesmerises’ the audience.
I look forward to the release of Better Safe Than Sober.
It seems to becoming a tradition to feature the English alt-rock quartet The Courtesans once a year. Introduced in August 2013, a follow-up article at the end of July 2014 and here we are in August 2015.

It was in August of last year I introduced The Courtesans from England.

The single mentioned a that time Genius has now appeared on video. The LP 1917 is set for release on the 8th September.
I must get round to a full review of The Courtesans, who creatively challenge the preconceptions of: Femininity; Self-worth and; Judgement, as portrayed in glossy magazines and mainstream media, with their chain breaking evocative synth-rock.
