The Bright Lights – The Rise And The Fall – Single Review

The English new-wave quartet The Bright Lights revealed their latest track – The Rise And The Fall – on the 13th.

The Bright Lights

As I have mentioned in previous features, a quartet who keep a low profile, are going even further underground as The Rise And Fall will be their last reveal for a while.

Once again, clear a space to join in with the blustering gale that is The Bright Lights with the hard pressing bass and percussion rattling the window frames, while the guitar bends in to contortions of blistered rock, rock-a-billy chords and in this instance, ska rhythm, to enable their music to always be of a multi-dimensional journey and as ever topped out by the singularity of the mesmeric vocal that is able to shape the songs like a chameleon changing colours.

The Bright Lights – Missing Out – Single Review

The English new wave quartet The Bright Lights revealed their latest song yesterday.

The Bright Lights

The Bright Lights

Each of their three tracks, there are only three, has the assuredness of a well established musical act who must have been around for a long time with a vast international audience, however that is far from the reality – a matter of months in existence, no website, no social media page and only a small imprint on soundcloud to evidence their existence – not even hint of live performance – yet they have already established themselves deep in to my psyche and I look forward to featuring them over the coming years.

The new song is named Missing Out – appropriately too – as, in my view, far too many are…

The Bright Lights – Closed On Monday – Single Review

The Bright Lights, a new wave quartet from England will be releasing their début AA side single Closed On Monday next month.

Were I able to tell you more, I would, though I could equally perhaps have awaited longer to exchange communication prior to running with a feature but decided best to get on with it than for something else to be lost in the entrails of my email inbox which sadly has a life of its own.

One song is around at the moment, by a band who have eschewed any more than means to listen to their music than the music itself, which auto scores it highly by default on my self limited radar, which longer stay readers will understand.

Reflecting of all that is wonderful about being a music reviewer, it is with some delight I am able to feature the perfectly formed Closed On Monday, an appropriately named track given that this site was off-line all of Monday this week, due to a hack – and now on Tuesday back on line – turn up the volume and revel in all that is required of rock’n’roll.
