Twin Peaks – Holding Roses – Audio

First introduced in 2014 the US fuzzy-rock quintet Twin Peaks are always a pleasure to return to with new music.

When initially introduced Twin Peaks were a quartet and the additional player has allowed them to develop the quirky eddies of their sound.

In a far different pace to their last feature in February with Walk To The One You Love – also from the LP Down In Heaven which comes out on the 13th of May – Holding Roses, the tenth of the bakers dozen tracks on the album, discovers Twin Peaks at a slower pace with a vocal that minds of Spookyland filtering through the room alongside the measuring of the tempo allows them to address the audience from a completely different angle.

Down in Heaven – Twin Peaks is available on iTunes.*

Spookyland is an alt-rock band from Sydney in Australia comprising Marcus GordonLiam GordonNath Mansfield and Nic Malouf.

Spookyland - alt-rock from Australia

The iconic vocals sear into the brain as Spookyland rumbles around the room. The heuristic lyrics speak of travails of life and are easy for the audience to relate to, whilst adding a sense of rationale. It is the storytelling with which the listener finds resonance that gives Spookyland the powerful undercurrent of the presentation.

The plan for a new EP to come out later this year is something I am looking forward to and the recently released single The Silly Fucking Thing on Monday Records which will appear on the EP is a marker of the territory of Spookyland.

Rather than me adding more words, far better to let Spookyland provide their own….
