Pord from Lozère in France is the alt-rock trio of Seb (Drums), Mike (Guitar / Vocals) and Max (Bass).
Pord – Wild – artwork
An established outfit, Pord deliver fervent disambiguation inside fractured compositions which rattle the very foundations of the room. The anomalies which lay therein gifts the resulting out-put a mesmeric intensity.
The rasping guitar sheds spiky shards of iron as it cleaves across the room, whilst the bass rumbles like a burbling diesel engine as the percussion pummels away as though threshing fields and through it all emerges a tortured vocal. The disparities combine to give the music an unstoppable intensity, that suckers in the audience to stand transfixed by the apparent chaos, which impressively forms into immediately coherent and expressive compositions.
A new LP, the seven track – Wild – is set for release on the 8th September. Having had the opportunity to listen to it and some of their previous work, this release will come as a welcome addition to the collection for those with older material and for those not familiar with the sound a startling introduction.
Prod have taken their collisions of sound, sped up the tempo and given the vocal a more defined discordance to produce a superbly crafted set of songs.

BLOWSIGHT based in Stockholm, Sweden, is the rock band of Nick Red ( Lead vocals / Guitar), Seb (Guitar / Vocals), Mao (Bass / Vocals) and Fabz (Drums / Vocals).
Driving rock beats across the room as BLOWSIGHT deliver something with a difference. The chorus of vocals give the band a more considered approach than would be anticipated. This is accompanied by intricate guitar interplay which allows the band to provide music that whilst polished, isn’t so buffered as to stray into middle of the road mellow rock, as they equally know how and where to dirty it all up a bit.
It is their ability to blur the borders of ‘respectability’ with those of stained leather jackets, that has enabled BLOWSIGHT to be well received across many countries. The quartet compose songs which range from the theatric, where large stages would be the ideal live presentation, to more intimate venues with tightly woven harrying pieces. Despite this variety, there is a discernible thread of sound which keeps the listener engaged with the out-put.

Brockley Forest is the alt- rock duo of Dec and Seb from Bristol in England.
The minimalism of set-up – an acoustic guitar through a distorted amp and a stripped down drum kit allows Brockley Forest to create expressive music which for it’s very rawness has an intense impact on the listener. With creative skills outside of purely music, Dec is a script writer and Seb a photographer, the two are able to capture those abilities to add value to both the visual and song-writing definition of the band.
The duo are able to to deliver music which both sonically and lyrically encapsulates the message of the tracks enabling the listener to open their ears and enjoy the creativity and ability, whilst enthusiastically looking forward to the next piece of music. A three track EP 2nd Nature is scheduled for digital release on the 2nd June along with a physical release later in the year.
Whilst an oppressive brooding sense of mystery lays throughout their material, of the five songs I have had the opportunity to hear each tells a story from a very distinctive angle and emphasis. Attesting the strength in depth that Brockley Forest possess between the two of them.
Brockley Forest is a band I both expect and want to hear much more of in the future.
