Although not the same core – with Maria Alekhina now pursuing more of the performance arts origin of Pussy Riot – Nadezhda Tolokonnikova who also spent sixteen months in prison for the Punk Prayer performance in February 2012 – does still, from time to time reveal new material in conjunction with other musicians.
With clear reference, though a larger message than purely US politics – or as Nadezhda puts it –
‘This song could be considered an answer to Trump. But I believe the idea of powerful female sexuality is much bigger than any populist megalomaniac man… Vagina is bigger than Trump….’.
