BEATASTIC is a grunge-gaze project based in England.
On the 29th of November the Rock Back Community released the compilation LP Rock Back for Haiti, once again through Patetico Recordings, with proceeds of the album (available on bandcamp) going towards relief efforts in Haiti for the damage caused in October by Hurricane Matthew.
From the twenty five track release Wings To Fly is the fourteenth – delivering a darkness which minds of the path of destruction of the intense low-pressure zone.

Rock Back For Ecuador is the latest element in a series of compilation releases put out by The Rock Back Community in support of disaster relief fund-raising.
Frantic Chant – some of the releases
The sixty-six track compilation album (available on bandcamp) was released on the 5th in support of the fund raising for the 7.8 Richter Scale earthquake that occurred between the towns of Muisne and Pedernales in Ecuador on Saturday April 16, 2016, resulting in an estimated count of 661 people being killed and more than 27,700 others being injured, in addition to the decimation of swathes of wildlife and infrastructure, with effects felt as far away as in Colombia, near the city of Cali, where one miner died as a result of the earthquake.
Patetico Recordings – will be a familiar name to regular readers, or even those who are sporadic with references dating back to 2010 – is the label behind this and the other Rock Back Community – Disaster Relief Compilations.
With a certain degree of inevitability from the thread of available music I do have a pick of the release.
The Scottish band Frantic Chant offer up A Descending Journey as the sixth track. Evidently – don’t take this as a ‘typical sound’ on the LP – as there couldn’t be such a thing.
