The Chinese art-rock quartet P.K. 14 are set to release the EP Music For An Exhibition on the 21st.
Opening the four track release is the hypnotic experimentalism of Kim.
Extending for just over nineteen minutes Kim takes the listener through a journey of shrouded anchoring reference points to avant-garde journey, whilst always retaining the scintilla of a toe-hold in the here and now.
Best approached with a mind refreshed and plenty of time, P.K. 14 are not known for taking prisoners in their stretching compositions. Demanding the audience keeps focussed and Kim is no exception, as to miss one phrase, is to miss the whole track.
Music For An Exhibition will be available on bandcamp through Maybe Mars.
