Having first featured the music created by Théo Lefebvre back in 2014 with regular appearances in the intervening period Miami marks a step change as instrumentation takes a more prominent place in what is the last track on the single – which is available on bandcamp.
Minding of the breaking dawn of an impromptu beach party as soft surf bubbles across the shoreline; The listener finds themselves slowly swaying in the sand blending with the hypnotic melodies in, strangely, wistful mood whilst gazing out to sea.
With a plenitude of thoughts to convert to acoustics H1987 regularly puts out single tracks and complete collections. The most recent of which, at least at the time I write this article on the 21st, being the track CODY that surfaced on the 20th.
Alongside all the other works this only makes sense with a multilayered full speaker system else lost completely to the audience. Akin to a bat skimming around by echolocation it is the radar of closing displacement that affords the music its impressive stance as the seeming collision course of refracted soundwaves glides unerringly between one another like graphite sheering effortlessly from a 9B pencil.
The French agit-folk project Somehow recently released the LP Hidden Memories.
A just under forty minutes, nine track, album (available on bandcamp) that wreaths the room in saddened reflective with compositions chivving the listener to take a look at the wider world and try to make it better rather than bemoan their own insular existence.
The melancholic lead vocal that holds the attention minds of Ian Curtis and Peter Murphy, whilst a distinctly Gallic soundtrack lays in supporting role.
Hidden Memories is most certainly an LP to add to the collection and by way of an introduction, the middle track, While The Days Go By.
Within the past couple of hours the French synthwave creator You Are Number Six released a new track.
You Are Number Six
Always revealing music wrapped in streams of synthesis which mind of an albatross calmly gliding thermal waves whilst traveling thousands of miles on few wing beats – in Midnight Blue, You Are Number Six releases a track full of mystery and tranquility.
It is the combinations of the melancholic electronics and voice of Théo Lefebvre which always make returning to the creations an absolute delight with their conceptual ambience that always warms the room with their countenance.
