Luke De-Sciscio an acoustic-folk creator from Bath (England) is working towards the release of the LP Love.
Lament, which surfaced yesterday is highlighted by the intricacy of vocal and the delicacy of the feathered acoustic guitar which when taken together gives the composition something of the feeling of mythical folklore and signposts of an LP which I look forward to hearing more from in due course.

Akin to listening to distorted short-wave radio, almost as-though a Numbers Radio Broadcast there is a stark oppressive coded presence to the music she creates.
From the six track album (available on bandcamp) – Up In Your Head – the antepenultimate, retains its dark imprint on the mind long after the transmission has gone off-air.
Still a project in formation and busy creating new tracks having most recently started to include voice in compositions – plans are also afoot to introduce a drummer to double the line-up allowing Ⓩⓔⓔⓚⓞ to perform with both the bass, electronic backdrop and live drums on stage.

The German / French indie-synth band Yalta Club based in Paris (France) are putting final touches to an LP due for release early in 2016.
A stand alone track that will not be on the album – LOVE – was written in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo attack in January as a cathartic – optimistic – sorrowful response. Paris once again becoming a centre for attack earlier this month Yalta Club have revisited the track and decided to make it publicly available in the vein of the initial immediate response.
A song of inclusion not division, with the off-beat, as a regular reader knows I can’t help but find revolving around my brain, LOVE has an earthy honesty to it, that finds the listener pumping arms in unison.

Rumbling in Kraków in Poland is the trio of Michał Piech (Drums), Katie Hurdles (Guitar / Vocals / Casio GZ – 5) and Paweł Tasak (Bass / Violin / Pedalboard) who form the suicide-rock band Katie Caulfield.
Thrusting through the room Katie Caulfield deliver uncompromising palls of angst-riven melancholia which reflects on the world around. The excoriating sinews of sound cleave their way into the bloodstream like an injection of an over-dose of heroin, first there is bliss then there is excruciating pain as the trio twist and turn their way through the lymphatic system. The rawness of composition gives the band the ability to pin-point the most exposed nerve.
Katie Caulfield provide the ears with unsympathetic tourniquets, which strangle the listener with their very fractiousness as the trio sword-fight the instrumentation and an out of key vocal emphasises the discordance of a percussion which pummels ever onwards.
Though only a year old Katie Caulfield has been able to establish a live performance circuit and on the 8th released their début LP – Sow Thistles (available on bandcamp), which is well worth grabbing hold of, along with a phone to hand to call an ambulance when it cuts too deeply.
