The US lofi-dream duo Earth Dad revealed their latest track – Younger – on the 22nd.
It was last year that Earth Dad first made contact and it has taken me until now to get to the email, if you are in a band or have sent through a recommendation and are still awaiting a reply – there will be one, just sometimes it takes longer than other moments.
This is another of those occasions when timing has worked out well with the collaborative track Younger arising quite recently which features Emma Lee a song for which unusually I suggest not turning every thing to extra loud, rather draw the curtains, lay back, turn down the dial and allow the jangle to wrap itself around the head.
The grapevine also suggests a new album will be released next month.

SLEEP.RADIO is a relatively new English lofi-dream duo.
Despite them being a new musical project, I am still late to it, as this has been hanging around in my email inbox since early last month, apologies to everyone.
There are seven tracks around – which came out last month as the LP Everything Isn’t (available on bandcamp) – an album in which the duo showcase their versatility and range of influences, yet, are able to do so in a way that doesn’t make the listener feel that they have stumbled upon a random selection of songs.
The hum of low fidelity cocoons the listener in warming silky threads as SLEEP.RADIO deliver music of dexterity and ability with variations in vocalist along with a spread of instrumentation in which to lay back and allow to wash through the room for approximately twenty seven minutes with a soundtrack ranging from sleepy spires to rocking garage with much in between.
Inevitably my selection from the LP – the middle song – In The Flowers is the most urgent composition and not in the least dreamy.
Word also arrives of a follow-up release due for later in the year, which I look forward to hearing.

THE WAIT is a newly out of the block lofi-dream duo from the USA.
Recently revealed were the only four tracks around – packaged as the EP Ascent (available on bandcamp).
THE WAIT deliver music that, counter to likely expectation by regular readers when it comes to suggested volume, needs to be turned down as quietly as your ears can muster soundwaves, with lights dimmed, to enjoy fully the weaving somnambulism that threads across the room in haunting graces and uneasy footstep, as the duo proffer material of disturbing nightmares and restful deep REM.
My selection of the tracks thus far around is the title piece of the EP – Ascent.
