The Known Pleasures

Resounding waves of sound soar out of the speakers as The Known Pleasures combine influences from the past three decades to deliver a style of music which is both powerful in nature and also plays heavily with guitar melodies to provide the audience with material that fills the head.

A couple of years experience has seen the trio develop a good understanding between each other and they play to the strengths of the skills that lay within the band, exuding confidence in their out-put. The rolling drums which are a signature sound of The Known Pleasures are accompanied by intricate high speed guitar playing and completed by a surprisingly expressive voice which enables the band to inflect considerable emotive context into their work. Whilst in the main there is an underlying urgency to the progression of the tracks they remain tightly controlled and as a result despite the reality of the speed, one is left with a sense of calmness.

With the depth and range of the songs the trio are able to encapsulate as much musically as many bands with more players. A new seven track LP – Let The Old Dreams Die deserves attention.
