Boys Of Terror is Erik Löfving (Vocals / Guitar), Christopher Anderson (Drums) and Olle Mossberg (Guitar) plus Kalle Mossberg (Bass) in live performance is an indie band from Gothenberg in Sweden.
Boys Of Terror
Melodies emerge predominately from the thinnest guitar strings, as Boys Of Terror produce their summery sounds which reach into the tweeters. As a regular reader you will know I have an almost obsessional interest in bass notes, so it is a pleasure to find a band who play at the opposite end of the spectrum I can recommend you spend time to consider.
The lightness of the tones, does not find the music feeling as though it lacks depth as Boys Of Terror are able to add glistening echo, which gives the effect of light diffracting through a crystal, with angles of notes that wrap themselves around the ears in fragile shimmers of sound.
Formed originally in 2013, Boys Of Terror have had a variety of line-ups, which led to the delay in their follow up of a Demo EP from June 2013 – the LP What Everybody Feels not appearing until the beginning of the month. A summer Scandinavian and UK tour in support, should see them gathering a deserved wider audience.

What, Really? is an indie band from Brennero in Italy comprising Ale, Manga, Robbé and Paz.
Very easy on the ears, What, Really? is more importantly a quartet who is able to take the plain and add toppings of tastiness. The band who introduce themselves as power-pop were inevitably listened to with ears uninterested and the opening few bars of the first track of their debut EP certainly didn’t fill me with much more enthusiasm. Perseverance paid off and I came to the meat and grist of the music, which is blend of pop ballads, combined with brit-pop and american indie-pop and the combinations make sense.
What, Really? place store on the clean lines of the vocals and manage to add some entertaining guitar effects to provide music which does hold the attention of the audience. Just over a year into their existence the music is undoubtedly a sound that resonates across the audiences, with appearances across Italy and an appearance in the UK. A line-up change in September 2013 will allow the band to add more depth to the out-put.
Not for my everyday playlist, but I am quite certain What, Really? will appear on other peoples, once they have had the opportunity to hear the music.

LaDiDa from Gothenberg in Sweden is Bea, Rat, Andy, Erik an alt-indie band.
Changes in line-up and band name has seen LaDiDa burrowed away in a time-capsule for the past few years, but they are now back bursting with even more energy than previously. Working on a new release whilst getting out on the road again the quartet are back with a bang. I have had the opportunity of hearing two of their demo recordings which would indicate their new release coming out some time early next year will be worth getting hold of. The music from a few years ago however does justice to the new sounds as there remains a distinctive and unforgettable vocal infused with the infectious enthusiasm of the music which showers ohms through the speakers.
For the first time in many years I found myself doing some exercise with the first cup of coffee of the day as the need to pogo overwhelmed the need for caffeine. As many of you know from my previous writing, that is a pretty mean feat as not only do I start drinking coffee before my eyes open, it also takes a coffee to get me off to sleep at night. What a great start to the day and I look forward to hearing more of these tracks before they end up on the finished product. The raw bleeding edges are exactly what LaDiDa are about and I hope they don’t put on too many layers of make-up before letting it loose more widely, for now, unless you are going to be seeing them in Sweden live, you will have to take my word for it as I am unable to share these demo tracks.
From the archives, but giving a good idea what LaDiDa is all about here is something from a couple of years ago.

The Inky Depths is Adrian Woodward (Vocals / Guitar), Leo Sutherland (Drums) and James Lewis (Bass) an Indie band from London in England.
The Inky Depths
Welcome to The Inky Depths, who have a decent sound hidden under the nutshell and so we find their new thirteen track LP set for release at the end of the month – Just A Phase.
Inside the creativity, there is a lack of self belief I feel, which in my opinion has held them back these past few years, as the music which harks back to ’60s rock has plenty to engage the listener.
I am delighted they took the time to reach out to me and it is a pleasure to proffer to you, the arbiters of music, a band who prefaced an email with ‘I’m writing to tell you about about by my band, The Inky Depths, which may be vaguely appropriate for you to feature.’ Now, much as I lambaste arrogance, deference bothers me too. I am merely a writer of reviews and these guys do all the hard work. My thanks, as always are extended to the creators of music, making the world a better place in which to live.
My thoughts – well worth a moment of your time – and please support them on their Facebook Page and I assure you the 13 track release, which I am unable to share at present is a delight of fanciful rock ‘n’ roll and heart felt soul.
