The Russian nu-disco duo The Shopengauers revealed their EP House Full Of Friends on the 21st.
The light dance steps whistle across the room in weaves of synthetics, yet underpinning the party moment is a sadness that the perceptive listener can’t help but capture in their mind. The Republic of Tatarstan based duo reflect of the tragedy of geo-political borders, brooding on the cut of their fellow country-folk in the roughly sixteen minute four track House Of Friends which extends an arm out to all of those globally not getting their fill of the platter.
The most pertinent track being the penultimate Here which encapsulates the theme of the release.
