The English weave-wave collective Catgod release the EP Someone Love on the 21st of July.
Within the past six hours the title track surfaced. A wending concept of ideas which is best heard under violet flashing neon lights as submerged harmonies of vocal blend in to expansive ambient electronics and instrumentation with the listener minded of watching a spider build its web at dawn.
If you have never done that, I do suggest doing so, not via a televisual documentary – rather in reality as the silk emits threads in seemingly random trajectories via the spinnerets, as the spider reconsiders whether wind and anchors are of alignment, until such time as lattice and frame conjoin to a delicate filigree of immense tensile strength.
