The English sadcore duo Betty Pulls A Fast One are scheduling the release of the LP – Dressed In Birds – for February.
Betty Pulls A Fast One
There is a skill required to be able to create music which is so dour of countenance that rather than attending the regular funerals of an ever dwindling audience as a result of self-inflicted injuries whilst listening to the compositions – musicians find themselves with an expanding following who immerse themselves in the the brooding darkness finding a cohesive catharsis in the material and Betty Pulls A Fast One, who have regularly featured on numerous occasions since their introduction in 2016, are one such duo.
Those of longer stay, or who click the link to the initial introduction will discover Dressed In Birds was first scheduled for release last year. I am more hopeful that the appearance of the title track with its minor chords progression does signify the album’s imminent arrival.

The English dance-tronic duo Betty Pulls A Fast One were introduced earlier in the year with their début number.
Betty Pulls A Fast One – Ghost Cat
Within the past four hours their latest track surfaced – Ghost Cat – a just over four minute piece which could not be more perspicacious of a weekend happenstance than it is – as the music revolves around the ears.
The listeners finds themselves minded of spirographs as the spokes lock one in to the other in wheels of different sized spinning meshes that all interlock in perfect unison as electro-drums and synths unfurl like emblems waving in a breeze, with almost extraneous vocal providing context, as the duo invite the audience to create animalistic shapes on the dark-light strobed dance-floor. To not partake would be miss a party moment.
Last time round I was unable to connect to social media pages – this has now been updated in time for the appearance of their second track from the LP Dressed In Birds which is due for release next year.

The English EDM duo BPFO (Betty Pulls A Fast One) are planning to release the LP Dressed In Birds in 2017.
BPFO (Betty Pulls A Fast One)
Still working out the full line-up for live performances BPFO have kept material in the cupboard over the years.
From the forthcoming nine track LP – the second – Today I Am Prince, which was written a while back, is the first track to surface and was made available within the past twenty-four hours.
With combinations of electronics, keys and vocal BPFO is able to deliver a composition that captures the attention as the clean glossiness is underpinned by subtlety of texture and shading allowing the listener to focus on the outer-shell or equally concentrate on the various layers where they will find considerable thought has been given to presentation.
It will be interesting to discover future developments within BPFO as they get nearer to the release date as they contemplate on a societal structure that seems to be disappearing into its own vortex.
For now – there is no website or social media page I am able to link to and the album artwork is also still in formulation. Despite which word arrives that BPFO are already writing a follow-up LP.
