The Australian discoflirt outfit The Fix Ups released their eponymous LP on the 31st of August.
Crooking a nail-tip between the lips The Fix Ups teasingly tempt the listener in to the roughly thirty one minutes, eight track, red-lit basement dancefloor of the album (available on bandcamp).
Unlike a clip-joint selling warm carbonated watered-down white wine served with more menace than charm, the band extend a welcome to one and all making for a sultry evening best enjoyed in company.
The closing song, Do What, with its ragga beat, inevitably being my pick of the release.
