The US alt-rock quartet Diaz released the three track single After Hours on the 20th.
There is a sumptuous underlay to their music which glides elegantly across the room as Diaz deliver unhurried tracks that have a dreamy melancholia to them. Never seeking to extend unnecessarily their compositions which are highlighted by the extended measures of metronome giving the songs a luxurious canvas on which they deliver their achingly evocative music.
The dark underbelly of bass slowly strides through the ears as the drums glide between skins and steel from which the echoing guitar is, like a gently rolling tide, set free to provide the hues of texture with the vocals creating the reflective topping to the sounds.
From the single (which is available on bandcamp) the closer and title – After Hours.
