Dear Boy – Love Interest – Single Review

The US britpop quartet Dear Boy released the single Love Interest on the 26th.

Dear Boy

Dear Boy

No, that wasn’t a typo Dear Boy really are from the USA and are one of those all to infrequent musical acts who can traverse the Atlantic Ocean to reflect of indie-rock from either side of the body of water without ending up floundering in the Sargasso Sea.

Love Interest is an anthemic track which would not have sounded out of its depth in the ’90s with its easy gait and catchy melodies strewn in strong fretwork that leaves the audience, no matter where they are in the world, tapping alongside the infectious rhythm.

BLUSH LIFE – Your Mind’s Like The Earth – Audio

BLUSH LIFE is a new Danish Britpop project.

The first track to surface – Your Mind’s Like The Earth – makes no pretence of its derivations and whilst the listener is easily transposed to the Madchester scene – in the just over three minutes of the track the audience discerns a freshness and vitality behind the listless vocal and glazed staring eyes.

Word arrives of the début EP being set for April and this, by the sound of the one piece around, will be something to put on the playlist for weekend party benders.
