Massimo Discepoli from Italy and Daniel Barbiero from the USA release the experimental-ambience LP An Eclipse Of Images on the 15th of September.
In advance of the album the first of the seven tracks – Autopoiesis has surfaced.
The combinations of electronics, percussion, bass and double bass wraps the listener in a trance of relaxation as the duo thread softly placed webs which rest gently on the mind.
Massimo Discepoli and Daniel Barbiero are able to provide the audience with a composition that whilst not following regular pattern doesn’t leave the brain confused by the ideas as they are equally capable of tempering the juxtapositions in a manner that doesn’t reveal discordance, rather combinations of contrasting harmonics which are able to gradually interweave and the finished product is a calmness of movement which has a sense of organic evolution.
The approximately fifty minutes of An Eclipse Of Images, which I have had the opportunity to hear in full will be well worth adding to the collection, though not to take out on a training run, rather to enjoy in a moment of deliberation.
Those of longer stay will recall the name Massimo Discepoli from the review of Nheap in early 2014.
