The first song to surface from the three track single (available on bandcamp) is the closer and title song- How Many? which showcases their creative technique, of blending samples, wind instrument, electronica, instrumentation and natural percussion in to softly unfurling minimalist threads of extended music, this track lasting for a margin under eight and seven twelfths minutes.

There`s too much - 生四 Farisa (the girl with the golden voice)

There`s too much

Unlike previous material featured by There’s Too Much since introduction in 2013, 生四 Farisa (the girl with the golden voice), doesn’t fill the room with an oppressive dystopian darkness – though do bear in mind drone is never chirpy, it does however fill the room with a carrier signal which burrows deep in to the mind, extending for a margin under six and five sixths minutes.

Caustic Reverie – Mutatis Mutandis – Audio

The US ambient-drone project Caustic Reverie releases the LP Ultra Vires on the 6th of April.

Caustic Reverie - Mutatis Mutandis

Caustic Reverie

An approaching forty minutes, eight track, album of gently laid electronica, that forms a perceivable, though just out of reach, spectral outline in the room.

The listener finds their mind becoming entwined with the LP as it curls through the ears and is best heard in one sitting, to fully appreciate the ghostly architecture.

The second track, is the relatively brief, Mutatis Mutandis.

On the 2nd of March the vinyl LP Non Places will be released through Denovali Records.

The second of the eight tracks on the album is Omr – which showcases their combinations of distorted electronica and natural instrumentation which  grips the room in an oppressive vice-like grip.

Nonconnah – When The Blackbirds Formed an Inverted Cross – Audio

The US ambient-drone outfit Nonconnah released the EP – Winter EP ’17 – on the 14th.

Nonconnah

As suggested on the tin Winter EP ’17 (available on bandcamp) is a collection of five songs, lasting approximately twenty one minutes, which deliver a chilly blast through the room.

The glacial floe minds the listener of the sounds of creaking ice with my pick of the release being the second – When The Blackbirds Formed an Inverted Cross.
