The US slow-fi creator Swain released his eponymous LP on the 23rd.
Unhurried waves of nostalgic self-reflection drift through the room as the dream-like combinations of electronics and strings create the underlay from which a melancholic vocal introspectively contemplates of the past and the present.
Despite the album being very much about his own experiences the listener doesn’t feel precluded from the compositions as Swain is a release pondering on issues of commonality.
From the roughly thirty seven minutes nine track LP (available on bandcamp), my pick of the release is the fifth – Home To.
