The English atmospheric-indie trio – Some Kind Of Illness are currently putting final touches to an EP.
I haven’t had the opportunity to feature Some Kind Of Illness previously, though I look forward to adding more about them over the next few months.
A new track surfaced within the past couple of hours – Coldest Part Of The Water. Although, only just over two minutes long, the trio seem to have been able to stop time, as the music drifts around the room. The synths spread extended sounds which give the track its ability to hold the attention so closely. Guitar is half-strummed and the vocal disappears in and out of focus.
These are a talented group of musicians who are able to deliver music that emits a luxurious flow of textures which creates an unexpected intensity given that many of their tracks last for less than two minutes, yet still leave a sense of spaciousness.
