The Swedish alt-rock band Pretty Solitude are putting final touches to a new LP due for release next year.
Trying is a track that departs from much of their material that has been featured over the past three years as Pretty Solitude lighten the tone in a song that has a faster tempo and sharper step.
The guitar, sounding like a tightly coiled spring, creates impressionist flecks of sound while the percussion taps out on various skins of the drum-kit and the bass glides calmly in the background. The vocal too, is less sorrowful and it will be interesting to discover more of the direction of Pretty Solitude on the forthcoming album.
