The Welsh indie-rock band Local Enemy were introduced last year.
From the LP – Something For The Weekend Sir? – the third of the six tracks is a song that bustles out of the speakers grabbing hold of everything in its path and zipping around the room in a double-time drum, while the guitars squeeze themselves into line and the bass keeps everything on trajectory from which vocal maintains the pace of the composition.
There is a sense that Local Enemy has long legs in the music industry with their honest and straightforward out-put and I look forward to hearing more of their music in the years to come.
