The English alt-rock trio King Orange released the single Misty on the 2nd.
It is difficult to believe that Misty is only their second single as the track has the feeling of seasoned musicians who are used to spending time in the studio.
Misty takes the listener back to thoughts of early Factory Records with a luscious palette of washed guitar weaving through a forceful percussion / bass combination that maintains a sense of urgency that has the heart racing faster to keep in tempo while the dreamy vocal unhurriedly flows through the just three minutes and twenty one seconds of the song (which is available on bandcamp).
Garnering an enthusiastic local audience it can only be a matter of a short while before King Orange becomes a band with a reputation spreading far more widely and I look forward to following their progress over the coming years.
