The US gaze-wave project 3D FRIENDS released the single Seventeen earlier in the month.
After a gap of more than two years since the last single – Seventeen (available on bandcamp) marks the welcome return of 3D FRIENDS – with word of an LP arriving later in the year.
Belying the calm drifts of the song in which the listener comfortable soaks in relaxation, beneath the surface – much like a swan paddling furiously under water whilst to all intents and purposes gliding elegantly – there is much going on as keys, electronics, instrumentation and vocal combine in complex weave to deliver the gazey hushed luxurious softness that settles the audience in down-feathering.
