From the five track EP – created through a ’70s reel to reel tape splicing various percussive objects, which were latterly synthesised, with some dashes of an ’80s guitar affords the music a luxurious backwash of analogue warmth as displayed in the closing piece on the the release – Scarp.

The introspective nature of the song contemplates of the ease with which one is so easily lost in ones own little world rather than finding time to reflect on the generous formations abounding on earth never mind the vastness of the universe and the imperceptibility of any life-form in the larger scale of things.
Despite the woe betide of starting point as As The Crow Flies expands so the moment of self-pity quickly sloughs its myopic skin and the listener finds themselves gazing over distant horizons to espy wonders of far greater magnitude whilst the composition encircles the mind as it delivers a luxurious and unhurried soundtrack.
The US electro-goth quintet Adoration Destroyed released the two track single plus four remixes Ritual Deconstruction on the 25th.

Music that is best heard whilst chained in a dark dungeon – the first of the six tracks on the release (available on bandcamp) Timelapse – akin to teasing tasseled whip-lashes – leaves the listener pleading for more and with fortune there is another roughly twenty one minutes of the almost twenty five, in total on Ritual Deconstruction, as the song closes.
Although the English alt-rock outfit Pale Fires closed up shop at the end of last year – they have recently revealed a previously unreleased track.
