1000facez is the agit-rock trio of Lega Beaverman (Bass / Guitar / Vocals), Denis (Guitar) and Jack Crowly (Drums) from Chișinău in the Republic of Moldova.
Stretching influences from dub-step to Ska and much in between – 1000facez deliver gritty high impact tracks that feature thumping drum beat. Their ability to spread their wings across disparate genres and still deliver compact crunchy numbers is a testament to their musical and creative ability. The Guitars soar around the room giving the compositions texture, while the vocal ably slips between styles, not missing a step as the trio pass scornful eye on the world around.
Formed as an idea back in 2013 with an early five track EP Robokingdom they are more recently gaining greater traction with the current line-up and there is a new five track EP Songs About Peace, Alcohol and Happiness, coming out on the 3rd of June.
Singing in either Russian or English, 1000facez are adept at both, their official releases are always in English – there is some inevitability I select as a song to share with you to introduce the band a track in Russian Колбасило (Sausages) and not on the forthcoming EP. A release which having had the opportunity to take a listen to, I heartily recommend adding to the collection when it comes out next month.
