Diamondstein – Nat Sherman Arpeggiator – artwork
Nat Sherman Arpeggiator, which itself has been released as a two track plus one remix single (available on bandcamp) is taken from The Ridges.
A sense of prevailing gloom descends into the room as the dark cloak of Nat Sherman Arpeggiator emerges from the speakers. As though an accompanying commentary of a place of tumult and breakdown from which the track seeks to make order of the dystopian view surveyed. The listener finds themselves becoming wrapped up in the unfolding and slowly building clouds of sound, which capture the imagination. Gradually the track becomes more aggressive, with the final section of the track exposing a jagged buzz.
Nat Sherman Arpeggiator is a slightly psychedelic tinged piece which stands as a lone offering, though will have the listener looking for the context within The Ridge as one gets the sense, this is only part of the story.
